idk how many people are having this problem with themes, but if you’re editing the html and go to save and see this error:
try going back to the theme html (your blog > edit theme > edit html):
make sure to click in the left area, so your cursor is active in the code then hit control+f (command+f on mac) on your keyboard and you’ll get a little find and replace area at the top of the code:
on the left put in ‘http:’ and on the right put in ‘https:’ (make sure to include the colon!)
Then:
click ‘All’
click ‘Update Preview’
click ‘Save’
you’re done!
make sure you click ‘update preview’ otherwise you’ll be trying to save the version with the http links and you’ll get the error again.
the only caveat is that if the asset you’re calling to doesnt have https enabled, it might break the link entirely. so just kinda be… aware of that. (though https is pretty much the standard these days so i would hope if you’re calling google or tumblr stuff it’ll be fine)
